The factory was once used by Bulova Technologies LLC, of Lancaster, PA. It performed electronics assembly, meaning the production of circuitboards. The company also did the crucial design phase between "a design that works" and "a design that can actually be mass-produced at a profit." Among other things, the company worked on the manufacture of artificial hearts.
